Ana Paula always felt destined to join her family’s business, but during her university years, she faced a turning point. Realizing her studies no longer aligned with her true passions, she turned to her paternal grandmother, who had never been particularly close. As they began to talk daily, they discovered a remarkable bond.

Their conversations, sometimes lasting up to eight hours, deepened their connection and made them inseparable. Together, they explored deep topics like good and evil, and Ana Paula saw herself reflected in her grandmother. They dreamed of opening a shoe store, and Ana Paula promised to make this dream come true after her studies. Although her grandmother passed away before Ana Paula could return, she has honored their shared vision with her brand. Ana Paula named her brand “Vala Blanca” after “Vala,” which means “demon” in ancient Hindu. Through their discussions, they realized that people are neither inherently good nor bad.

“Vala Blanca” represents their belief in the complexity of human nature and the beauty of embracing both light and darkness. Today, Ana Paula’s brand is a testament to their empowerment, hope, and the enduring connection they shared.
